An Eye Opening Program
pretty_womant396 April 2008
One of the most interesting "history" lessons I've viewed on television. Who knew? I have been sharing the information with friends, relatives and those in my address book. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My thanks to Mr. Williams and Independent Lens for the production. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any future listings in our area. I would like to include a copy of the program in my collection of history programs. Banished, unfortunately, was publicized enough for the viewers to realize what was being shown and how it is embedded in America's history. This isn't just a program to be shown during Black History month but should be made available for students to see as part of their education any time of the year. Again, kudos to PBS and Marco Williams and ILP.
