Which One?
andyrobert12 December 2019
I remember watching this programme on a Monday night, just before Christmas. It had the novelty of starring Raymond Francis as Chief Superintendent Lockhart. We were always used to him being in "No Hiding Place". Seeing him in a different show altogether was something of a surprise.

As can be seen from the IMDB cast listing, Raymond Francis played a dual role. As well as the part of Chief Inspector Lockhart, he also played the part pf Percy Turner, a small- time con man who just so happened to look like Chief Superintendent Lockhart.

The show was basically about a robbery in which Percy's likeness to Lockhart was used as a distraction to carry out the robbery.

The play was delightfully sprinkled with various tv personalities such as Michael Miles and Muriel Young in cameo roles. I also remember there being a nice little twist at the end of the show.

Just in case there is are still recordings of this show still available, I will not put in any spoilers, but I will provide a small clue: the last line in the play is: "Which one?".

It was a very good show. I am surprised that it has never been repeated nor remade. It would have been an ideal formula for a good comedy and a dual role for Peter Sellers.
