- The Ancient One: It is time for Leonardo to move on. Splinter sends Leo to a new sensei ... or rather, a very old sensei. The journey is long and perilous. Can Leonardo look into himself and find the right answers to his questions?
- Unable to overcome the shame of defeat on the Shredder's starship, Leonardo has become more and more demanding of himself and his brothers. The added intensity has increased his skill, but the tension is practically suffocating. During a katana lesson, Leonardo loses control and injures Splinter.
After meditation, Splinter decides to send Leonardo to train with a new sensei. Since the Utrom Shredder took Hamato Yoshi as a victim years prior, Splinter sends Leonardo to Yoshi's sensei, known only as the Ancient One.
On the path to the Ancient One, Leonardo learns, "a warrior who attacks in anger is a warrior who never wins." Progressing on, he finds an unbelievably ill-mannered travelling companion, whom he calls "a gross slob who attached himself to me like a bloated tick."
This old man seems more interested in eating Leonardo's least healthy snacks than actually helping him find the Ancient One. When Leo complains about the sumo wrestler's lack of etiquette, his only response is, "it's just air."
After many lessons in a short period of time, the episode ends with the Ancient One telling Leonardo about a troubling time in Hamato Yoshi's life, "not dissimilar to [Leonardo's] own."
