In this episode, Earl discovers a mailbox he and the gang had turned in to a trash bin has two letters in it that were never delivered. So he and Randy deliver the letters themselves.
One letter involves a guy (Chris Gann) who wrote about his feelings for a woman he had a crush on (Jenny McCarthy). When she didn't respond to his heartfelt letter, his life fell apart. When he discovers the girl (Wendy) is still available, Earl takes it on himself to make sure she doesn't find another guy while Gann gets himself back into shape.
The other letter reveals that Darnell, aka Crabman is really someone else and is in the witness protection program. Joy is so incensed she takes out a billboard asking if anyone knows who he really is. It's hilarious.
No weak points in this episode. There's a hilarious montage as Darnell tries different ways of making up with Joy (sock puppets, a barbershop quartet, etc.). Jenny McCarthy looks great and does a good job fitting in with the regulars.
