Continuity

When Wheeler & Logan are searching the victim Skater's van, they uncover a single photo of an attractive girl, Mira. In the next scene, Wheeler shows her captain the photo. But the first photo has Mira posed with her arm over a sight-seeing telescope facing the camera, and the second has her turned to her left facing the telescope.

Factual errors

While it made for a tense scene, in reality the medical examiner could not fire a city employee with a simple verbal dismissal. In fact, she likely would have found herself in trouble for treating an employee in such a cavalier manner and for not using the established city procedures for terminating an under-performing person.
The DVD found in the boy's lunch box is _Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)_, which Wheeler notes isn't out for another three weeks. As the sixth book in the series, production has not even begun on that particular film. They started filming it on 9/24/2007. There is no way that Skater (or anyone else) could have had a copy of that film. For the record, this episode aired a FULL THREE YEARS before the theatrical release of that movie which was on 7/15/2009.

Plot holes

The Albanian Mobsters had attempted to murder Willie by hanging him. He almost died, requiring mouth to mouth resuscitation by Detective Wheeler. They next show Willie at the airport with an ugly red welt on his neck. Then they show him watching Mira being interrogated and there is almost no mark on his neck. If he had been almost hanged, he would still be in the hospital due to almost dying. He would not be in an airport nor a police station watching anything.
