Worth Watching
This film was shown on the History Channel. I was going to skip over it because it was a "film" not a typical one-hour war-doc. I dawdled in changing channels and got hooked. This is a very well made film done in themed "chapters" concerning the life, rewards and challenges encountered universally by firemen everywhere. It consists of interviews with members of about six fire companies around the country; interspersed with stock and re-enacted footage.
Bill Couturie has done an excellent job of telling their story and engaging the viewers. Most of the interviews evoked some kind of emotion; whether respect, delight, sadness or surprise. John Travolta, Denis Leary and Ron Howard, beware..this is the real deal.
"Truck Trash" Tomi Rucker rules!
