The movie starts with the rescue of Melanie from her kidnapper, where she runs through the woods being chased by US Marshalls calling out to her. Then it reverts to 2 weeks before that to give the background of the main characters and to show how and why she was kidnapped. But when that same rescue is shown in the natural sequence of events later in the movie, it's different from the one at the beginning in that she isn't running - she's sitting on a rock or tree stump, banging on something with a stick to make noise to help the US Marshalls find her.
In the beginning of the movie, the prison is identified as WASHINGTON STATE PRISON, but the inmates' uniforms have WFP (as in Washington Federal Prison) on the back of them.
When Melanie looks up Terrance Scott's current address on her husband's computer, it shows Portland, WA but when she and Jack go to that address, it is identified as Portland, OR.
He is in Washington and says he is going "up" to Oregon. Oregon is actually "down."
