Just hours after pedophile Carl Mullaly was outed on a so-called reality news program he is found murdered in his apartment. There is little sympathy for Mullaly and Detectives Ed Green and Nina Cassady first focus on one of the victims neighbors who is quite happy that the man is dead. They soon learn that a young woman, Hannah Welch, was seen at Mullaly's apartment soon after the program aired and although she describes herself as his girlfriend, she is clearly abhorred by the fact that he was discovered to be a pedophile. When it's revealed that she was actually one of Mullaly's victims and that she had been brought to New York to confront her molester as part of a new TV show, Jack McCoy decides to go after the show's producer Ellie Harper.
