John Goodman steals every scene that he's in
laggard-8200910 May 2019
Sorkin's storytelling at its best. Funny, sad, thought provoking, every emotion is probed. Every cast member hits it out of the park . . . And Goodman outshines them all. The only reason that it's not a 10 out of 10 is because it's a two part episode that has several re-sets and explanations. It interrupts the flow of a great episode.

A below average Studio 60 episode

When I do my yearly watch of the 'Studio 60' DVD the Nevada episodes are usually the ones I skip.

The reason for this is because they add very little to the story overall. You can skip them and it really makes no difference.

There are some nice moments in the episode, usually between Matt and Danny but the constant bashing of Christians or Matt and Harriet arguing about Harriet being a Christian does become a little tedious.

I thought Steven Weber gave a good performance as Jack, but this isn't one of the better episodes.

I'd have much preferred to see an episode where Danny is away and Matt has to cope with Ricky and Ron waiting for him to stuff up. Unfortunately we got this instead.
