It has taken me many years to find any info on this fabulous, most magical TV show, but Eureka! The most fascinating, lyrical, inspiring show of my childhood was on all too briefly, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and it was Pip the Piper. It was transformational and took me away on the wings of the angels who made it especially for me. It was tailored with special refinement, and every time I sat down in front of the black and white Zenith screen embodied in the big blond wood cabinet, to see Pip and Miss Merry Note, I was swept away with them, by the most delicate spirit that was not matched until many years later when I read a Midsummer Night's Dream and eventually the Tempest. It was only on for a year or two, and then it vanished into thin air, leaving me hungering and wondering, What happened to Pip the Piper? Where did he go? There was not another TV show on earth that I identified with more, and every single episode was a finely cut diamond that sent rays of light into my imagination. Truly, I know now the show was very simple, but what is better than simple and perfect? Ain't nothing better. Great work, Jack Spear. I LOVE YOU FOREVER.
