Blind Spot

Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Edit

Continuity

When Goren is talking to Declan after Eams is kidnapped, a swarm of police cars and policemen come up to them, sirens blaring. Goren puts his hands up and drops to the ground. As you see Goren on the ground, you can see Declan's Panama hat being put on the ground as he starts going down. After a cut away to a police car and several running policemen, Declan is next seen still standing with hat on.
As the camera cuts back and forth between wide-angle and close-up shots, Eames' gag varies back and forth between being in her mouth and down around her neck.

Miscellaneous

When Detective Goren is talking to Declan's daughter Jo, Ross and Eames are in another room, but within eyesight of this. Capt Ross asks Detective Eames, "Your partner always that informal?" in reference to Goren's proximity to Jo. Eames replied "turns out they knew each other when she was a girl." She meant that he knew her when she was a girl, meaning as a kid.

Character error

When Goren is reading Eames' license plate number over the radio he reads it as: "LMN678". When relaying letters over the radio, like a plate number, police officers don't just say the letters because it is too easy to be misheard, especially if the signal quality is poor and full of static. For example "M" sounds too much like "N", "B" "D" and "E" also sound very similar. Which is why the NATO phonetic alphabet is used to call out letters over the radio, each letter is represented by a word. Eames' license plate for example would be called out over the radio as "Lima-Mike-November 678".
The medical examiner's report Goren reads, contains some errors in character names. Jenna, the second murder victim, is listed as "Rebecca". Also, M.E. Rodgers' name is misspelled as "Rogers".
