Melinda has to deliver some very bad news to Lacey Chabert, her old costar and lookalike on PARTY OF FIVE: Chabert's husband has died. Unfortunately for Melinda, just as she delivers this terrible news, Chabert's husband comes walking up the drive, very much alive. So who's the faceless ghost haunting Melinda? It is worth watching to see how this rather unusual situation unravels. Meanwhile, Melinda's new female buddy's son starts shoplifting certain items from Melinda's store. What gives? Could there be a ghost behind this? The solution to this subplot is actually more interesting to watch than that of the main plot, which gets a bit draggy after we learn the faceless ghost's identity. A cleverly written episode, one way or the other.

Enjoyable, nice twist

Lacey Chabert and JLH back together again, Lacey seems almost as old as Hewit now. As for the show being canceled in January, it's much better than Medium and it's on a Friday night which has been a death slot since they canceled Third Watch so it should be pretty safe on the air for a while.

The season premier was awful, this weeks was at least watchable...nice wee twist at the end there with Mac being Jimmy Olsen from last week. I like where it's going with him and the underlying evil theme of the show looks like it's at least giving the show a nice seasonal story arc, which is lacking from so many weekly shows now.

Ghost of a chance
xredgarnetx10 February 2007
Melinda meets her near twin in LOVE STILL WON'T DIE. Hewitt meets old PARTY OF 5 costar Lacey Chabert as she attempts to solve the riddle of a ghost who likes to hang in the shadows. Chabert and Hewitt played sisters on that show, and Chabert is jus told enough now to really look like Hewitt's twin. The revelation of the ghost's identity in the second half was s shocker, but didn't play out as well as I thought it should have. You decide for yourself. Seeing the two actresses together reminded me of a hysterical skit Chabert did on some show, possibly SNL, some years ago where she did a spot-on imitation of Hewitt. Well, as usual, IMDb wants another line or two. So I will tell you that Hewitt seeks out Chabert to tell her someone close to her has died... and I will let it goat that.

Goodbye to Aeshia

Warning: Spoilers
CAMRYN MANNHEIM ? as a regular cast member. Gag me. The saccharine characters on this show seem to be cut from the Disney Channel. But that actress?, Camryn Mannheim makes the show unwatchable. What demographic does she represent? Answer that for yourself. I had rather eat glass that watch her. As for J Love Hewitt, what is with the bouffant hairdo from the fifties? You ain't got a lot going for, except your beaming smile, work on the hair. To much and too stiff.

The addition of the element of evil this season holds faint promise of better things to come. Otherwise, this show is destined for cancellation by January.

The writing is better than last year. The set is as artificial as the Christmas Village at the Mall. And when will the EMT ever demonstrate his job skills? His contribution to the show seems very limited. But without him, JLH would spend a lot of embarrassing time talking to herself.
