"An Oasis in a World of Horror"
Mourning at Collinwood, Liz (Joan Bennett) and Carolyn (Nancy Barrett) learn Bill Malloy's body has been found. Carolyn tells Vicki (Alexandra Moltke) that Malloy had a dream - to spend a month on a tropical island looking up at the sky - and advises we should fulfill our dreams before death takes away the opportunity. Instead of working in his cannery office, Roger (Louis Edmonds) goes to the Blue Whale to find Sam (David Ford) drinking. Roger insists Sam stick with his perjured story concerning Burke's manslaughter conviction. The sheriff has ordered an autopsy of Malloy's body...
This was the first episode taped at on West 53rd St., NY, where the series taped for the remained of its run...
The sets were reassembled nicely, with minor continuity changes. The table in the foyer looks most obvious; but, it moved around without changing studios. The table's position herein gives the foyer more depth, but it didn't allow a good walkway from the stairway to the drawing room. It was good for entering the from "outside" and placing your hat and/or coat somewhere; later, another area served this purpose. Equipment also had to move around; watch for the scene after Carolyn looks at the Collins History Book (first edition) for a look at the "teleprompter" on the right of your screen...
