Two large aphids ravage the forest by devouring everything in their path. Using their saw, they cut the stems and nibble all the leaves. The little cricket is trying to stop them by using his violin.
Zdenek Miller, a considerable personality of Czech animation, has made generations of children in his country and elsewhere laugh and dream, with one of the most charming characters in his personal bestiary: the little mole, created in 1957. In this series of seven unpublished shorts made in 1979, we will discover a new creature, a cricket, animated with the same talent. On a background of formal naivete, a subtly surrealist spirit makes these films a pure delight.
