Dear Sir, Unless...
Prismark109 March 2022
The final episode of series 3. David Main finds that time is the enemy as well as a dodgy firm of debt collectors.

Now remarried, David wants to establish a better relationship with his children. Once again work gets in the way.

David is also defending a police officer being prosecuted for assaulting the owner of debt collecting firm with a penchant for violence.

The same collector is also chasing William Shelton fo arrears. He has been seriously injured at work but money problems means that he wants to accept a quick but lower settlement.

Margaret Castleton is dealing with the case and warms him against accepting the offer. Only for Shelton's condition gets worse after acceptance of the lower settlement.

Not an episode that creditors will like. There is a contrast between Main and the solicitor who works for the firm pursuing the debts. The latter solicitor turning a blind eye at the disreputable methods his client employs.

It was also notable that Main wanted the policeman tried at a magistrates court rather than a jury trial. He was banking on the magistrate being more sympathetic towards the police.
