This was terrific.
A callous scammer is out and about conning old ladies out of their savings, Suzi and Danny track down a young Irish lad, who matches the description giving by Mrs Temple, a recent victim.
The Detectives are super quick to believe in the guilt of Patrick Case. You can't help but wonder how the solicitor would have behaved it was his old mum on the other end of things.
It's a cracking episode, there's so much content here, they lack in the crime, legal process, arrest, conviction, even the court case, credit to them for time management, and for delivering a fantastic episode.
Danny seems to be moving into the role vacated by Burnside and Roach, he's the latest Detective with a bit of a side, it's funny, he looks more like a criminal than a Detective. He's a little bit pushy, a little intimidating.
The Allo Allo fan in me was delighted to see Madame Fanny herself Rose Hill, who's excellent as Mrs Temple. I almost wish she'd started singing, in her own inimitable way. Always good to see Dermot Crowley, albeit in a small role. Who can forget The Judge from his role in an episode of Fawlty Towers ...a lemon squash!!!
I'm sure the last time we saw an identity parade on the show it was done visibly, is this possibly the first time we see it done behind a screen?
Loved this one, 9/10.
