CID are disappointed when a drugs raid yields a very minor yield, one of the people at the flat, apparently there on a social call riles Jim Carver, who believes he's up to no good.
It's a good watch, it shows the lifestyle that some of the dealers were getting on the back of peddling their muck, but also the ramifications of dealing.
I liked how they wrote Jim Carver here, he's been the grumpy outsider for a while, here they put him centre stage, he comes across as just smart and pretty intelligent.
The real mystery, is how Marc Warren, who is now playing Van der Valk, has aged so little in forty years.
Pretty good, 7/10.
