The film originally began production in August 2005. After being unhappy with early footage, production was halted so director (Justin Channell) and stars (Zane Crosby) and (Josh Lively) could rewrite the entire script.
Real animal intestines were used for a scene which required special effects artist Zane Crosby to dig the parts from a large metal vat in summer heat of over 100 degrees.
Lloyd Kaufman's cameo was shot outside of the Oaks Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA, during a screening of The Toxic Avenger (1985).
The beer in the film was mostly cream soda.
