Sun Hill sees the arrival of its new domestic violence unit, interviews are held for a new Sergeant. Chief inspector Cato arrives at Sun Hill, but not in the role that Mr Brownlow was expecting.
I think this episode comes as something as a curve ball, it really does mean to shake things up, a new department, new personnel, and some trouble at the top.
There is already an edgy feeling, and it's obvious that there are going to be fireworks.
The domestic case here is a good one, although there's not a great deal of focus on it. It's brave of the show, especially for 1993 to deal with this type of domestic violence.
Sergeant Lamont is finally given a little more to do here, although one wonders how he managed to get the job in the first place, Sergeant Kendall on the other hand seems really capable.
There may be trouble ahead...... 8/10.
