This brief DVD "special feature" reveals one of the main causes of World War Two . . .

. . . perhaps for the first time. Just as England's King Richard III lost his country--and his life--for the want of a horseshoe nail, possibly up to 100 million MORE lives were extinguished due to director\choreographer Busby Berkeley's "crazy, insane" climax for the flick GOLD DIGGERS OF 1935, "The Lullaby of Broadway," concur the nine film "experts" involved here in A STUDY IN STYLE. Abe Lincoln once told Harriet Beecher Stowe that she instigated America's War to End Racist Black Slavery Perpetrated by Lazy Rich Fat Cat Southerners with her novel, UNCLE TOM'S CABIN. Similarly, most WWII historians credit filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl for inspiring the easily-bamboozled German People to wallow in world-wide carnage for nearly a decade with her flick, TRIUMPH OF THE WILL. The nine film experts note that Riefenstahl heavily plagiarized "The Lullaby of Broadway" to create WILL, right down to Berkeley's dramatic stage entrance of 200 goose-stepping tap dancers, who were "Sig Heiling" with their arms before it was Cool. (Riefenstahl's "Nuremburg Rallies" omitted mass tap-dancing, since Germans have been historically lacking in such nimble dexterity.) Another 200 black leather-clad chorus bimbos present a Spring Fashion Show for the latest in SS Storm Trooper Fashions. Unfortunately, Riefenstahl was too dense to perceive Berkeley's closing point for "Lullaby:" such decadent exploitation of the masses inevitably leads to the downfall--in this case, a literal Icarus-like plunge to her death by Winifred Shaw's "Baby" hedonist character--of the Elitist Fat Cat Solipcistic Billionaire Bozos. (Perhaps a bootleg version of GOLD DIGGERS was playing in Hitler's Bunker when Joseph Goebbel's six young kids were chomping their cyanide pills, and Adolph was blowing his brains out after doing the same for HIS baby, Eva Braun.) Therefore, it's pretty safe to say (along with A STUDY IN STYLE) that without GOLD DIGGERS OF 1935, there could not have been a World War Two.
