The final series opens with a very strong episode.

Charity Secretary Miss Mallow is found strangled in her Office, found by a handyman, and well to do couple.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, a strong start to the new series, what I enjoyed most of all aside from the mystery, is the way that they continue to modernise, we're seeing more focus on The Detectives, and more ranks appearing.

Very well produced, hugely atmospheric, it's a good quality whodunnit from the 1960's.

A. J. Brown made a big noise in his first episode as The Assistant Commissioner, very strong acting, he enjoyed very good scenes with both Cork and Rodway.

Some of the acting is great, some of it .. is of its time let's just say, Beatrice Greeke was so charming in her small role.

What's so lovely about this show, the faces, look out for Donald Hewlett and Arnold Ridley.

8/10.
