Not too shabby if you like silly golf movies.

Saw this flick at the AFM in LA last week. I laughed my ass off about five times... Loved the news sports caster, the golf course scenes and the overall humor. The goof ball caddy (Ryan Click) was hilarious at times. What I did like was the sound quality and special effects. There were some cool camera shots. Liked the pinwheel at the beginning in the credits and the boardroom scene had me laughing hard with the squirrel scratching the golfers balls dialog. The camera a few times would move (shaky) for no reason on a still establishing shot of a building or an animal or? Why? Doesn't the cameraman realize not to touch the camera? There were however some cool shots (helicopter shots, above shots, golf shots and the roller blading dolly shot were good). On a sour note the Dick Chain character was really bad in my opinion. A few of the gals were weak as well, completely amateur. I liked the Alien gals (super sexy) looking for the putter (navigation rod) on earth, and Bambie (Akira Lane) was sexy and had good on screen presence. On a bright note several times I forgot I was watching an Indy Film because the actors (and or scenes) were so good. I thought the second half of the movie was way better than the first half, not that I hated the first half but the movie just seemed to flow a lot more smoothly in the second half. I liked the Cougar Irons (Brook Aldrich) and his assistant Nicky (Dylan Diehl) scenes, she was strong in her role I thought. Cougar Irons was enjoyable to watch with his swagger and attitude reminded me of some of the real life pompous pro golfers in real life. (Ryan Tower) Brad, seemed very neutral in his role and acted great at times (almost Clooney like) and just so-so-average at other times. Lezzy (Meredith Grau) was good, I laughed at the bedroom scene. I also liked the flashback scene of young Cougar and Brad. Very funny. Not a amazing movie by any means, but not horrible either. Oh well, Just silly sketches with some surprising great scenery. The Michael Jackson gag had me in tears. I give this movie kudos for the dumb dialog that kept me laughing throughout. I did recognize a few characters from other LA shows (bit parts). I can tell there are some good futures for some of these actors.
