The location of the first stabbing on Paige's stomach changes before and after she is stabbed second time.

John stitches the wound on Francis' nose. There's a shot of him with the blue stitch strings poking out of the wound. But, as soon as the scene is done, the stitch strings are gone for the rest of the film.

At the very end of the film, as the camera is moving away from the house down the track road, it shows the house is the last house on the right, not left.

When Emma and John try to drown the Francis in the sink, he manages to pull the stopper and almost drains the sink, but when they activate the automatic disposal, the sink is once again filled to capacity.

The man before Justin arrives is checking out at the store, Paige says that his total is $5.25. The man hands her one bill, but she does not give him any change.

The boat in the film for which they could not find the keys was a newer model Ski Nautique. These particular boats do not use keys. They use a four digit start code which you must input into the keyless ignition panel. This panel is marked by a big red start button.

Krug's gun is a 1911. When Justin tries to shoot Krug, he finds out the gun is empty. When a 1911 runs out of bullets the slide locks back and has to be manually released. Someone would have known the gun didn't have bullets in it. Even if someone had released the slide, they would have had to re-cock it, or pull the hammer.

Usually microwave ovens don't work while the door is open, as depicted at the end of this movie, however earlier on in the film it is stated that the microwave is broken.

When the electricity is blown out, Emma is seen stirring the pot on the stove. The stove would have also turned off, being an electric stove. Pots can be stirred even after the electricity goes out, they just won't boil.

Although red wine is not supposed to be kept in the refrigerator, many people do prefer their red wine cold and will store it there.

When Mari is swimming to get away, they are firing from the edge of the lake, she is swimming away from them. The final shot hits her on the shoulder. Later, after she is found by her parents, they show the bullet hole near the top of her shoulder, a wound that would have come from someone standing behind her, not at a near 90 degree angle to her back. A real shot at the angle depicted in the film at that location on her shoulder would have just entered and exited, creating a furrow instead of an actual hole with no exit wound.

When Mari is unconscious, John tries to open her mouth and find out whether she's alive or not. Mari can be seen opening her mouth wider as John's hands move away from Mari.

The lamp on the outside of the guest house is mounted upside down.

When the girls are taken in the truck from the motel, Justin is shown in the front seat with his seat belt on. The camera goes to the girls in the back seat then back to Justin in the front, and he is no longer wearing his seat belt.

(At 1 hr and 8 min) the bourbon bottle label seems to be a fictional brand, but the glass itself reads Jim Beam.

At the beginning of the film during the police car scene, triangular warning signs of the British / European Vienna Convention signs can be seen. These don't exist in the USA.

When John is giving Mari mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, he does not tilt her head back nor does he bother covering her shivering and soaked body before performing a medical procedure afterwards.

When Sadie calls Krug by his name, shortly after arriving at the Collingwoods', she pronounces it "kroog". Later on in the film Francis pronounces it as "kruhg".
