From inside the café, we see that there is no sign taped on the door. When the three men are kicked out, we see from outside that there is a sign advertising "Sheep Dog Trials."
Compo is walking on the other side of a wall to hide the fact that he's not wearing trousers. It's too awkward to do, so he climbs over the wall to walk on the road. Foggy keeps telling him to get back on the other side of the wall, but the wall is not there anymore.
