Something is up with the women in Holmfirth. Ivy is worried that Sid might be up to no good. We have seen in the past that he is up for a bit of hanky panky on the side. Compo tries to console her in his own imitable way.
Then down at the pub, Nora Batty is inconsolable as she thinks Wally might be fancying more than pigeons. Foggy has to by her a drink to calm her down, an expensive trip to the bar for him.
However there is more innocent and embarrassing explanation. Sid and Wally are part of a Wild West group getting ready for a show and they and others have been sneaking into the woods to wear cowboy outfits and playing cowboys and Indians.
They certainly are embarrassed when our trio catch them with their cowboy hats and chaps. In fact for the first time ever we see Wally getting angry.
As ever our trio end up taking part in the show as a few others walk out. This series so far certainly has started to show more of the greenery that the series became famous for and it was nice to see the tender side of the women who thought they might lose their men.
