This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen on the subject of BDSM. I could not believe how it moved me. I also practiced this lifestyle. Not as a professional, but I have recently lost my Dominant/ husband.
The reason this documentary was so good, was the way Mr Barrie did not go for the titillation, he showed a man bereft. He showed a man whose soul was lain bare for us to see. I felt so very sad for "Rick". The way he allowed us to see him, not many Dominants would have done that. I am so glad I watched it. I was awed by "Rick", by his strength. I hope he is still alright. Do yourself a favor- watch this documentary. The absolute best about how a man's past shapes him, and "Rick's" courage to show how hurt he is. I truly felt for the man/the boy that was hurt by so many, but having the courage to share what he did. The trust between the two of you was amazing. Excellent, excellent documentary, Mr. Barrie. I wish I knew what happened to "Rick". You definitely left us wanting more.
