Panic and fear.
Stamp and Garfield arrest a man, who is just about to set fire to a car, when he is arrested, it comes to light that he's suffering with Aids.
1990 seems like a lifetime ago, I was ten years old, and AIDS was something that struck the fear of God into you, even at that age I can remember the adverts. So part of me does sympathise with George here, so little was known about AIDS back in 1990, thirty years on and things are very different of course.
It's very much an episode of its time, once again it shows how topical The Bill was in its day, I thought this was pretty good, it would have been very different when new.
That's a great scene where Cryer gives poor George a roasting, great acting.
Ignorance, loss of bottle.... great episode, 8/10.
