This is an incredibly simple story. Yet in spite of this an the six minute run time, the short manages to really do an exceptional job--making the film a standout among independent films.
A young boy (about 12 or 13) is talking to his older brother. It seems the younger one is infatuated with a girl and he's trying to get up the courage to kiss her. The older one tries to give him advice about when the time is exactly right to "make his move".
Later, when the would-be boyfriend and girlfriend are taking a walk, there is some awkwardness and the boy never seems to try to kiss her. Then, out of the blue and seemingly unplanned, he makes a very smooth move and has his first kiss.
As you can tell, it's a very, very simple film. Yet by combining appropriate music, very good acting (especially for teens) and excellent direction, the film is very likely to fill the viewer with emotion, as the scenes are very cute and well done. A very, very nice effort all around.
