- A nice drive in the country turns out to be a night of terror for The Chestersons when they meet The Traveler. Their car breaks down and they are forced to spend the night the "Death House". Only one can survive.
- A couples marriage is on the rocks, or so the husband thinks. A nice drive in the country and a visit to relatives should get them back on the "marital bliss" track. While on the trip, their car mysteriously dies in front of the "Death House". They meet some hikers spending the night in the "Death House" who proceed to tell them the gory details of why it's called the "Death House".
The Traveler shows up and proceeds to describe what he is going to do to them, one by one. None of the people in the house believe he can do what he is threatening to do, so he uses one of the hikers as an example. Nothing in the house is as it seems, which only deepens the mystery. The hikers must vote on who the next victim is until there is only one survivor. As the "game" continues, the number of survivors dwindles.
The hikers decide to take things in thier own hands and fight back against The Traveler. Not going quite as planned, the game continues until, as promised, there is one survivor, or is there? Who is The Traveler and what does he really want with the happy couple?
