Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in The Bucket List (2007)

Goofs

The Bucket List

Edit

Continuity

Everytime the list is shown it's a new one. One can see differences in the line drawn in previous scenes. One of the most obvious is when SKYDIVING is stroked out with two lines but in the following scenes the list is shown there's only one line. The three lines over "Get back in touch" are at different places each time the list is shown also proving there are different lists.
Upon returning to LA after their trip, Carter surprises Ed by having the limousine drive to Emily's house. During the argument that ensues when they get out of the car Ed rips up the yellow paper that the "Bucket List" was written on. However, the movie shows the same paper being intact 3 more times after that point.
In the race track scene, the body damage on the cars after the collisions is not consistent.
When Carter is in the bubble bath, the bubbles switch from being under his bandage to covering them up every other time the camera is on him.
Edward Cole has normal length hair only 3 weeks after his head was shaved for the first surgery.

Factual errors

There is no way to have a conversation while skydiving. Not even shouted words can be understood. (This was proved by MythBusters (2003).)

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Revealing mistakes

The aircraft that takes them around the world is a Gulfstream 450, showing its large oval windows in the exterior shots. The shots from the inside, however, show square windows.
When Edward skydives, the image (geography surrounding Sun City) is reversed.
When Edward and Carter are eating in the restaurant in France, they look out the window at the water. The water is obviously a still picture, as the water and the boats are not moving.

Miscellaneous

Carter says he has had his freckles for as long as he can remember, but at his funeral the photo of him as a young man has no freckles.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

At the beginning of the conversation in the restaurant in France about caviar, Carter's mouth appears to be eating caviar instead of saying the words he is speaking before cutting to the close up scene where the conversation is continued normally.

Crew or equipment visible

When the car pulls up at Edward's daughter's house, the crew, trailer and camera are all visible on the side of the car.

Errors in geography

While both men are sitting on the top of the Great Pyramid and are facing South, a shadow of the second pyramid is seen. Actually, a shadow can't be cast in that direction (South East-South) on this latitude. Even if it could, the shadow would be much longer.

Character error

On the top of the pyramid, Carter says that Egypt is the only place where a dog was struck by lightning. The record object was a meteor, not lightning.
In France, Thomas tells them that the next stop is Cairo, and then Tanzania. But in the next few scenes, they visit those places in reverse order.
While walking in front of the Taj Mahal, Edward is discussing which type of memorial process to undergo (burial, cremation or cryogenics). When he mentions cryogenics, he says "...or be frozen like Walt Disney." This is a common urban legend. Walt Disney was actually cremated and interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.
The Mustang referred to as a "350" by Carter is not an indication of engine size. He was referring to a Shelby GT350, actually equipped with a 289 cid engine.
