What in the name of J. Jonah Jameson is THAT?
Hey_Sweden17 March 2024
Spider-Man does battle with the seemingly invulnerable Rhino (voice of Ed McNamara), who keeps stealing valuable components of a powerful weapon that the Army has been developing. And he has to do all of this while trying to fight off a bad case of the common cold (as well as Aunt May's obviously unpalatable home remedies).

The Rhino is another in the line of great villains that Spidey has faced, and has the over-sized ego common to many of them. He can shrug off any amount of artillery fire, it seems, and is capable of destroying entire trains & submarines!

The comedy content of this episode is simply hilarious: Spidey doing a brief impression of Jameson, Jameson attempting to take his own pictures and getting righteously busted by an M. P., the faces that Peter makes when being offered those home remedies, etc. Spidey's method of ultimately defeating Rhino is priceless, with the villain hiding from the authorities in such an obvious place that it was easy for the law to overlook. Spidey's sneezing at inopportune times keeps putting a crimp in his battles with Rhino.

This marked the first appearances of Rhino and Aunt May (voice of Peg Dixon) on this series.

Eight out of 10.
