- Beaver gets in trouble twice. Once by looking for the principal's "spanking machine," then by getting his head stuck in an iron fence.
- Looking for an electric spanking machine and reaching for a four-leaf clover teach Beaver the meaning of being "conspicuous" when he has to be rescued from Principal Rayburn's locked office and extracted from a park fence, both in one eventful week-end.—shepherd1138
- Beaver is late arriving home from school, which concerns June. In reality, Beaver and Larry are cleaning the blackboards in Miss Landers' room, she who has already gone home. What starts out being an innocent task for their teacher ends up being an adventure for Beaver when after Larry tells him of an electric spanking machine in Mrs. Rayburn's closet, Beaver can't help but investigate after Larry too has headed home. Not knowing that anyone is in Mrs. Rayburn's office, the janitor locks Beaver in the office. Beaver gets out the only way he knows how, but it ends up being a very public way. Ward chastises the Beaver for being in Mrs. Rayburn's office, but Ward also tries to make Beaver understand that he shouldn't be so conspicuous in his activities. Not really understanding what that means, Beaver, the next day, gets himself in an even more conspicuous predicament while he's out searching for four leaf clovers in the park. When Wally finds him, they have to figure out what to do so as not to get in the wrath of their father for being so conspicuous.—Huggo
