9 Miles Down (2009)

Goofs

9 Miles Down

Edit

Continuity

Jennie bites off the end of a cigar in a rough manner, yet a few seconds later when she is smoking it we see the end of the cigar has been cleanly cut.

Factual errors

When Jackman and Christianson are talking about the "poetry" of life vs. the science of life, she states that phenylalanine is a chemical produced by the brain when you fall in love; it is instead an amino acid, one of the building blocks of protein. The chemical in question is Oxytocin. No real scientist would ever make this mistake.
In the reference book at the beginning, the Umal Dwayce entry appears on the right-side page between where the book clearly says only Untouchables through Upjohn are covered. Umal would clearly be before this section. Even the previous (left-side) page started at University Park, so the Umal entry is definitely on the wrong page.

Character error

Thomas often used the term "over and out" to end radio conversations. "Over" means "I have finished speaking and am awaiting a reply." "Out" means "I have finished the communication." "Over and Out" should never be used together in serious radio communication.
