Goofs

The Ambassadors of Death: Episode 5

Doctor Who

Edit

Continuity

The model of Recovery 7 is a different colour from the full-size prop.
After the cliffhanger is resolved, the plaster vanishes from the Doctor's face between shots.

Factual errors

As Reegan sabotages the refuelling of the Recovery 7, a label by the fuel valve can be seen which reads 'M3 Varient'. This is presumably a mis-spelling of 'M3 Variant'.

Revealing mistakes

The Doctor waits on the rocket launchpad supposedly seated on his back in the capsule, yet the clipboard on his lap defies gravity's effects to stay stuck to his thighs (The camera is clearly at a 90° angle).

Miscellaneous

A UNIT guard brings Lennox some food in his cell but actually delivers a radioactive isotope to kill him. Though we do not see the guard's face, he speaks with Sgt. Benton's voice. It obviously wasn't Benton who murdered Lennox but it is never revealed who it was, or how they copied Benton's voice, or even gained access to Lennox who was in protective custody.

Boom mic visible

A boom microphone shadow is visible on the Doctor's face during his conversation with the Brigadier in Sir James's office.
