When the rating box is presented it only displays one box. However in real life it contains an extra screen, which displays which member of the viewer family is logged on. However as correctly portrayed in the movie each member has an own button and can log on as an extra viewer, including guests.
In the movie the data is sent out to IMA via normal telecommunication lines. The data is sent out via GSM-network, which is run differently.
Right after the show that started at 20:15 Rainer gets the TV ratings with the accurate dates. However in real life the collected data is sent out to the main server between 03:00 and 05:00 a.m. and is reworked during the morning. The stations have their detailed ratings at 09:00 a.m. the day after the show.
During the IMA-introduction the guide said that the panels are not paid for using the rating box. While it is true that they don't get paid, however they do get a refund on electricity and chances on internal lotteries.
When Rainer's nose is bleeding he is holding his head back the whole time, which shouldn't be done as the blood would go down into the lounges. Instead he should have to lean forward and hold his nose at this situation.
