After years of seeing and hearing from Zeiss (Wortham Krimmer) as if he's just another nameless law student on the show, he finally gets his own episode. Now that you get to learn more about him, you realize that he's a bit of a twit! As he nears graduation, he's upset that he's NOT been awarded honors and very, very narrowly missed out. Now considering he's graduating from one of the top law schools and was on Law Review, you'd think he'd be happy enough....but then again, you suppose the insane drive and self-absorption is what got him to this top law school in the first place! After appealing to Kingsfield and getting no where, he decides to take the insane step of suing the law school! Does he even have a prayer? And, if he should win, will he find it's all for nothing and no one would want to hire a 'trouble-maker'?
As far as this episode goes, it isn't a particularly good one. There are a couple strikes against it--you really DON'T care about Zeiss or his predicament and the whole thing seems a bit absurd....imagine, suing a law school! But considering that several of the latter episodes are just terrible, at least it's watchable and reasonably enjoyable. Not exactly a glowing endorsement, I know.
