Leslie Nielsen plays Pete's childhood mentor -- a Vietnam war correspondent who seems very crafty and deft. He's got something hidden in a suitcase that everyone wants to get their hands on.
There are some good twists in this. Vikki Carr is an interesting choice as Nielsen's main squeeze. Carr had a big pop hit in 1967 called "It Must Be Him", but it was too "cocktail-loungey" to have legs on Oldies Radio. Good song---too bad!
The ending packs a wallop -- it's one of those cases where what you DON'T see is more disturbing. Pete's reaction is memorable.
I was hoping this would be one of those episodes where the main characters actually let the culprit get away with it.
