Startscream's voice in the final act changes a handful of times. It could be that he was meant to be another character, and was simply colored like Starscream, though.
When Gears walks behind a structure, he immediately appears on the other side in the next frame. It should take at least a couple of seconds for him to traverse the distance between the two points.
