Lou has his days and nights mixed up, sleeping all day and awake all night. Bud takes him to his psychiatrist friend Dr. Mildew (Sid Fields). In the waiting room is a man who thinks he is a B-29 plane (Eddie Parks), and his wife who thinks he's a jet (Lillian Bronson). There's also a gentlemanly dressed man who thinks he's a concert pianist (Bobby Barber). They all leave in their own worlds, and Lou sees the psychiatrist. Dr. Mildew comically assesses him for his insomnia. He prescribes "Dr. Drowsy's Slumberland Record", which is actually Strauss' "The Blue Danube", to no avail. Bud next takes Lou to a sanitarium for complete rest. He is cared for by a loud, zany doctor (Murray Leonard). Lou struggles to keep his sanity in their "Crazy House" sketch.

This was a favorite among us big little kids back in the day! Poor Lou, who can't get a good nights sleep, is assisted by Bud's old friend bearded Dr. Mildew! (played to the hilt by none other than Sid Fields). The doc's name may have been inspired by The Three Stooges who attended Mildew College(!) in one of their shorts! The waiting room scene is bonkers with Bud and Lou running into a bunch of nut cases; Bobby Barber the best of the lot playing an invisible piano, thinking he's a famous concert pianist. Murray Leonard picks up where Fields left off, also playing a wacky doctor who runs a sanitarium where Lou finally could get some sleep. "I'm an M. E." he says to Lou. "What's an M. E.?" "It's ME!" he laughs! A man is selling popcorn in the hospital halls and Dr. Mildew (Fields) drops by with a BIG knife! Hillary Brooke plays Leonard's receptionist, the only sane person in the whole show! Directed by Jean Yarbrough who also directed the BOWERY BOYS! You know its fun! SEASON ONE dvd box set.
