A man contacts a local newspaper claiming to have Amy Tennant. Mickey Webb poses as a journalist to try to convince the man to meet up with him. Dan discovers Tony's second job as a cab driver when Tony reports that he overheard two of his passengers threatening to settle an old score. June and Reg deal with three youths who have been harassing pensioner Brian Warner. When Brian has a heart attack and dies, June resorts to an alternative interview method to try and get them to see the error of their ways. Mia Perry confronts Mickey after Jack tells her about Mickey's previous engagement. He explains that his ex-fiancé was a bent copper and asks if they can keep their relationship quiet at work. Neil comforts James Tennant when he breaks down after another dead-end in the investigation into Amy's disappearance.
