I prefer this episode than the actual one we got, but that's me. It's better episode because it involves the girls.

Laverne gets punched in the face again

Poor Laverne got a busted lip in the previous episode by an angry Latvian wife, and now it's Shirley who decks her and breaks her jaw.
What began as talk of their upcoming 10 year high school reunion devolved into insults and then both girls physically hitting each other. Before Shirley wound up accidentally breaking Laverne's jaw, I thought they were setting it up for the girls to go to the reunion in Milwaukee.
Sadly that wasn't the case as the rest of the episode was just Laverne talking through a wired jaw when she got back from the hospital. I think going back to Milwaukee for the reunion would have been so much more fun where we could have seen Laverne trade insults with her old nemesis Rosie Greenbaum.
I did like the very end when Shirley was feeling upset because she thought she'd be seen as a failure if she attended the reunion and Laverne let her know they weren't failures and started singing their classic ant song together.
Hopefully they have an episode where they visit Milwaukee before the show is finished. I think not sending them to that 10 year reunion was a big missed opportunity.
