When Ron puts the sombrero on Dr. Saks's head while he's trying to talk her into writing out prescriptions for the drugs, the door opens and closes behind him.

When Rayon gives Ron the money from his father, Ron's glasses are on while he's speaking on the phone to the doctors, and off when he's speaking to Rayon.

When Ron is sitting on the bull, waiting for his turn to ride, his hand jumps from the top bar of the gate to the second bar down.

During the first Rodeo scene Ron's hands are dirty. After being arrested and dropped off by the police later, his hands are completely clean.

When Rayon visits his father, father puts his glasses on when Rayon sits down. When camera is on Rayon, the tops of the arms of his father's glasses are visible. When the camera is on his father, he has his glasses on. When the shot returns to Rayon and glasses arms are visible again.

In his bathroom after injecting himself and taking his pills, one of the bottles on the counter is 'Zidovudine' same thing as AZT, which he telling everyone is poison and not to take.

During the drilling accident on platform five with the trapped illegal alien, Woodruff says "I'm gonna shut her down," and steps to a nearby "Square D" brand combination motor starter. That starter is clearly already off when he reaches it as evidenced by the operating handle in the downward position and his ability to open the cover without using a screwdriver to defeat the cover latch. The only energized parts within the combination starter in that state are the line side terminals at the very top inside the starter, presumably operating at 240 or 480 Volts, any terminals in the middle part where he inserts his screwdriver are lower voltage, most likely 120 VAC, externally sourced control and interlock circuits which are fused at only about 1 amp. The energy available at those 120 VAC/1 amp terminals is enough to give him a serious shock under the wrong circumstances, but cannot generate the energy necessary for the arc blast seen before he falls and needs the ambulance himself.

When Ron is stopped by Customs the first time he enters the US from Mexico (presumably in the 80s), the patch on the Customs Inspector's uniform is incorrect. That patch was not worn until some time in the 90s.

One of the card players asks who Rock Hudson is. Clint says "Haven't you ever seen North by Northwest (1959)?" Cary Grant starred in the film, not Hudson.

This is not a mistake on the filmmakers' part, but rather shows the viewer that Clint really doesn't know much about Rock Hudson.

In two bull riding scenes, one at the beginning of the movie and one at the end, the gate handlers and rodeo clowns are wearing exactly the same clothes. This would be unlikely since, in the time line of the movie, these scenes take place years apart. It suggests that the scenes were filmed at the same time with no costume changes between scenes.

In Ron's motel office, he has a poster on the wall behind his chair of a Lamborghini Aventador, which was released in 2011. Roughly 25 years after the scene was supposed to have taken place.

Ron is told that he has tested positive for HIV in 1985. There was no reliable blood test available until late 1986, and the term HIV was not used by the medical community at that time. People were diagnosed as having AIDS based on their white cell count and other symptoms.

When Ron returns from Mexico the first time, presumably around 1987, the border agent asks for his passport, which Ron hands him. Passports were not a requirement to cross the Mexico-U.S. border until 2008.

The television in Dr. Saks' home is an early-2000s model.

When Ron is told that he's HIV positive it is 1985. The name HIV was created by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses in May 1986 and did not exist at the time of Ron's diagnosis.

As Ron storms back to his car after gathering his stuff upon eviction, the shadow of the camera is visible on his chest.

When Eve first walks into the hospital room to see Rayon lying on the bed, part of the reflection of the cameraman is visible on the window in front of her.

When Ron comes back home and is applauded by his friends and patients, the reflection of the cameraman is in the center of his sunglasses right before he takes them off.

The airport terminal that Ron Woodroof walked through after arriving in from Japan does not resemble Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport interior design at all. A large poster, 'Dallas International Airport Welcomes You', omitted 'Fort Worth' in the name.

Zidovudine is among the drugs Ron initially stockpiles in his motel office. We also see Zidovudine among the medications Ron takes in his motel bathroom. Zidovudine is also known as AZT, the very drug Ron warned to the AIDS patient population to not use throughout the movie.

Jared Leto's tattoos, particularly the faint outline of the one on his right collar bone area, are visible several times. Another on his forearm is seen very briefly, and one of his red band tattoos is not covered at all.
