Steve Buscemi, Jim Carrey, and Steve Carell in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013)

Goofs

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

Edit

Continuity

When Steve Gray drills the wooden plank - in a closer view, he drills it near the top. In the next shot, he removes the drill from the center.
After his first street show, when Steve Gray cuts his left cheek, he can be briefly seen while leaving the area touching his right cheekbone.

Factual errors

Burt's accountant Dom tells him that the $200.00 Bond purchased for him in 1973 by his Nana is only worth $248.00. An E bond (the only type of bond sold in 1973) purchased for $200.00 in 1973 would be worth over $1,000.00.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

At the birthday party for Doug Munney's son, in the background there appears to be a large body of water, which cannot be found near Las Vegas, Nevada. If you look closer, it is not a body of water, but a hazy sky overlooking a valley. Other shots in the same sequence actually show mountains, houses, and buildings in the distance.

Anachronisms

The opening scene takes place in 1982, but a mini-satellite dish is visible on one of the houses. These were not available in the US until late 1994.

Character error

When Burt is a child he is left-handed, but when he is an adult he is right-handed.
