Good episode

I see by this episodes number of reviews (none before mine) that people are not in love with this series. This episode was good but only about half as good as the 1st episode.. By the third episode it was going on a downhill plunge - as I stated in another review,, you can only go so far with jokes about phantom door bells and cement ponds. I enjoyed this episode somewhat though, it was not terrible. The show was very popular it's whole run but I guess it was just the times. However still better than most of the junk on today.

Getting Settled

Finally Mr Drysdale has got over all the confusion and beings the Clampetts to their Beverly Hills mansion.

Maybe Mr Drysdale should had realised that the Hillbillies would need a more detailed guided tour of their new home.

Granny has no idea what most of the equipment in the kitchen does. Never mind how to work the refrigerator or the cooker.

Jethro sees a flamingo in the garden and thinks it is some kind of chicken. When he looks at a croquet ball on the lawn, it mistakes it for an egg of that chicken. Jethro takes it to Grannie to cook it.

Miss Hathaway, the executive secretary to Mr Drysdale shows up. She mistakes the Clampetts for the hired help and fires them all.

The second episode starts off with the well known theme song. Already the fish out of water or cement pond humour is well established. It could get tired very quickly.
