The episode is played mainly for laughs by a large supporting cast of Runyonesque characters-- bookies, bartenders, and inept crooks. Unfortunately, Pam and Jerry have little to do as goofy Allen Jenkins gets most of the screen time. The plot revolves around a toddler that keeps getting passed around. We don't know why so there is some interest, but little else except maybe a chuckle or two. At the same time, the crawling infant performs like a professional deserving of at least a screen credit. I suspect someone figured the touchy material of an unattended toddler needed a humorous context to defuse possible problems. However that might be, catch Chick Chandler, Soldiers of Fortune (1955-57), picking up a payday as one of the crooks. All in all, it's an awkward mix in my little book.
