This is a sci-fi film set a few hundred years in the future--and on a distant colony that is slowly failing. It seems that the planet has radiation that has already killed off a fair number of the residents. To make up for that loss, incredibly lifelike robots have been created to take their place. It's all very original and an interesting concept.
While the actors in this short film have some prior experience acting (particularly R. Keith Harris), writer/director Brad Amos did not and because it's a first effort I can really respect what he achieved--particularly because I assumed he had a minuscule budget with which to work. Because of that, I tend to be a little less strict in my voting than I would for a more Hollywood-style production. Plus, I really want to encourage Amos to keep plugging at it--he's definitely on the right track.
