One of the better...
What can we expect from Detroit's PBS... not much. But when Backstage-Pass came on the scene in 1996, it was the drink of water after a long drought. The show was a fresh face-lift for the station. It focused on the Detroit art/entertainment scene week by week - some of the segments were for local bands, theatre performances, art gallery showings - both modern and classical, special events for people of all ages. BP was little too "formulated", but as a whole it certainly helped the station revitalize its audience. Unfortunately, it couldn't sustain a life, losing their audience only after several seasons. Maybe people in Detroit just don't care about the arts and entertainment. Another one kicks the dust.
