After Cody finishes his lunch at the diner, and he goes outside to his motorcycle, he walks past it and crosses the street to go to the hotel. In the scene where the Commanding Officer is giving Jones's dog tags to Cullen both dog tags are there. Military members killed or injured have one dog tag left with them, the 2nd dog tag is removed and used for notification purposes. Jones was KIA, so the CO would have only had one dog tag to give to Cullen in real life.
When Cody and the other soldiers are delivering the medical supplies, the mortar shell that hit them would have killed or at least seriously injured everyone there being that they were in such close proximity to each other. They all were easily within the kill radius of a mortar round.
Cody Cullen is a Master Sergeant (E-8) in the movie, but the cover image shows Cullen wearing a Class A uniform with Sergeant (E-5) stripes.
The commanding officer who gave Cody such a generous amount of leave time would never have been permitted to do that in real life. In 2006, (the year this TV-movie debuted, GWB's controversial (and, impo, unconstitutional) use of "stop-loss" would have prevented Cody from remaining stateside any longer than it took to attend the dead fellow soldier's funeral. Probably no more than 72 hours, at most.
When the commanding officer is giving the dog tags he says a widow. Jones and his girlfriend were not married yet.
When Luke goes to the Sacred Cross Medical Center the trees all have leaves even though it is supposed to be December.
In the scene when Cody is being asked to take Faith to the Christmas tree lot, there is a picture of a baseball game in the back of the newspaper, even though it is Christmas (December).
When Faith describes her Christmas card she said she attached a photo of their church, but in reality the photo is of the family house (with a carriage out front).
When Faith takes Cody to show him Luke's magic spot', she show him a small pond. She then asks Cody if he likes it. The camera then show the view as a large lake with a house on the other side. The view then returns to a small pond.
