Goofs

Edit

Continuity

When DJ is teaching Michelle how to read, the way she writes Michelle's name on the chalkboard constantly changes.
While DJ is trying to teach Michelle how to read, you can see that the end of Michelle's ponytail keeps switching from being curled up and being straight in between shots.
When DJ is trying to teach Michelle how to read, she writes Michelle's name on the chalkboard. The stem on the letter "M" changes from long to short in between shots.
When Jesse is trying to teach Michelle to read, he writes "AT" on the chalkboard. The way it is written changes between shots.

Factual errors

Davey Chu capitalizes on Stephanie's misspelling of "mnemonic", spelling it correctly and eliminating her. In a spelling bee, if a student misspells a word, the next student must correctly spell a completely different word in order for the student before him/her to be eliminated.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

In the episode, Danny says Stephanie has been reading since she was 4 years old; but in the first episode of the second season, when Jesse breaks his arms and asks Stephanie to help him write down his songs, she says: "I could do that. If you write about dog, cat, tree and Stephanie." It's possible she knew how to read and not write which is common with children, the two actions are not mutually exclusive.

Character error

During the spelling rematch in the living room Danny gives Stephanie the word trigonometry but he turned to the back of the dictionary. He did the same thing with the word sarsaparilla.
