talk, talk, talk is about pay, pay, pay for the stay as long as we can keep you here, Pam

Just begun watching. Of course I've seen this stuff decades ago when it was new. But once again I break off to yell out how stoopid it would be to consign a bright lady like Pamela to an institution, to sit there yammering while of lucid thought. She has full understanding of what her problem is, so it's pointless, like the word in the script FUTILE to sit there 'cooped up' albeit in a rose garden. A shrink is just somebody earning pay for doing no work.

Bobby had no time for Pamela last season, that was one of the main storylines. It seemed unlikely given the passion between them in Season One. Their marriage is one of not seeing each other during the day, yet in here Pamela complains about missing Bobby if she doesn't see him.

Ah, what does is matter? All I'm saying is that I continue to feel that the scriptwriters all too soon tossed out the direction the show should have had... the firestorm battle Pamela would have fought to be live on Southfork. The way it was in Season One. You tell me it is that way? YEAH, A TEPID VERSION OF IT. All too soon ruined by neurofibromatosis and miscarriages and pseudo-suicide attempts and junky corny run-of-the-mill generic old-days daytime soap opera claptrap. DALLAS tapped into fire and passion and a wealth of emotions not seen on television before... then dropped back to be caught up with by the likes of DYNASTY and FALCON CREST.
